Woman rescued at City Dock curses at helpersPublished 08/31/05
A woman who got drunk and jumped into the water at City Dock didn't show much gratitude to her rescuers, cursing and kicking at them after they hauled her out, city police said. The 34-year-old Pasadena woman was hospitalized for an emergency mental evaluation after she told police "she had been raped her whole life" and was very depressed. Police wouldn't release her name because she wasn't charged with a crime. "One minute we're helping her out and the next minute she's kicking and fighting for us to let her go," said Mark Wilkinson, a Key School senior who helped in the rescue Saturday night.
