Child found

A 3-year-old boy was returned home Monday night, shortly after he apparently wandered from his home in the Bywater neighborhood, city police said.

An unidentified man saw the toddler wandering around the 1700 block of Forest Drive near the Safeway at 8:45 p.m. The man grabbed the child, who was dressed only in a diaper, and called police.

The boy was too young to tell officers any identifying information about himself and officers went door to door to locate his home.

The boy's family was located along Peters Way and was not aware that the boy was missing, police said. Relatives told...
