Born April 27, 1922, in Washington, D.C., Mr. Briscuso graduated from Wilson High School in the district and attended Mount St. Mary's College in Emmitsburg.
Following high school, he played professional baseball with the old St. Louis Browns organization. The Browns later became the Baltimore Orioles.
He served in the Coast Guard during World War II and later worked in the building industry.
