Orin Durey Retired Navy Cmdr. Orin J. Durey, 81, a resident of Annapolis for 34 years and formerly of Chevy Chase, died of a stroke Oct. 8 at the Heritage Harbour Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Known as "Jay," Cmdr. Durey was born March 8, 1926, in Huron, S.D., and graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans. An aviator, he served in the Navy for more than 20 years, retiring in 1964. Most recently he worked for the State of Maryland as coordinator of federal funds. He is survived by his wife, Kerstin M. Durey, whom he married Sept. 5, 1969; one son, Orin J. Durey...
