Today's obituaries recognize: Joyce Aisquith, Tina Chase, Priscilla Huber, Frances Parker, Frances Raines, Theodore Thomas and Elaine Wheatley.

Joyce Aisquith

Joyce Lenora Aisquith, 72, a resident of Riva for 50 years, died Feb. 15 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Ms. Aisquith was born Dec. 29, 1935, in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Annapolis High School in 1953.

She was a long-time employee of Mike's Crab House in Riva and Carr's Bus Service in Davidsonville.

She was a member of the South County Senior Center and the Londontowne Peppers senior group.

Ms. Aisquith was an avid Bingo player. She also enjoyed trips with the Senior Center and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John Buechling; and one sister, Tilly Landry.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Aisquith of Riva, David Aisquith of Davidsonville, and Donald Aisquith of Burlington, Ky.; two sisters, Mae Paxman of Utah and Margaret Estep of Edgewater; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are private. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home.

Tina Chase

Tina Michelle Chase, 35, of Lothian died Feb. 11 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Mrs. Chase was born Sept. 3, 1972, in Cheverly to the late Gary M. and Barbara Gabbard Anderson. She attended Prince George's County public schools and Duvall High School.

She attended Dunkirk Baptist Church. Her children came first in her life.

Survivors include her husband, Gary M. Chase; one son, Timmy Pixley of Beltsville; one daughter, Shelby Groom of Beltsville; one stepson, Michael Chase of Bowie; two stepdaughters, Kristi Chase of Bowie and Kristin Eakle of Bladensburg; her stepmother, Sharon Anderson of Laurel; one stepbrother, James Anderson of Savage; and two stepsisters, Vicky Barnes of Arizona and Ellen Lee Anderson of Ocean City.

A memorial service and reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Dunkirk Baptist Church, 11275 Southern Maryland Blvd. Interment is private; arrangements are by Rausch Funeral Home in Owings.

Priscilla Huber

Priscilla West Baker Huber, 72, of Ellicott City and formerly of Mayo, died of multiple illnesses Feb. 17 at Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Huber had suffered with liver disease and Parkinson's disease, and recently fell and broke her hip.

She was born Nov. 6, 1935, in Lothian to the late Dr. Frank B. West and Elsie Williams. She graduated in 1953 from Southern Senior High School in Lothian and in 1957 from Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore.

She had previously worked as a registered nurse at Anne Arundel Medical Center in the early 1960s, and at Crownsville State Hospital and private duty nursing in the 1970s. She was the director of nursing at the Calvert County Nursing Center in the 1980s.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James H. Baker; one brother, Frank B. West Jr.; and one sister, Patricia W. Futch.

Survivors include her husband, Louis B. Huber of Ellicott City; two sons, Walter H. Baker of Gaffney, S.C., and Jeffrey W. Baker of Mayo; two daughters, Deborah L. Voorhees of Churchton and Susan C. Baker of Winchester, Va.; and five grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at Harry H. Witzke Funeral Home, 4112 Old Columbia Pike in Ellicott City.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, 701 S. Charles St. in Baltimore. Interment will be at Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.

The family will also receive family and friends at the Huber home, 3822 Spring Meadow Drive in Ellicott City.

Frances Parker

Frances Louise Cloud Parker, 95, of Annapolis and a 93-year resident of Maryland, died of natural causes Feb. 2 in her daughter's winter home in North Carolina.

Mrs. Parker, who was known to family and friends as "Meemaw," was born Jan. 26, 1913, in Baltimore.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert R. Cloud; and her second husband, Joseph R. Parker.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley D. Williams of Annapolis; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are private.

Frances Raines

Frances Marion Raines, 87, of Crownsville, died Feb. 17 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Mrs. Raines was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Washington, D.C., and attended high school.

She was a member of Job's Daughters and the Deborah Circle at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, where she also was a Sunday school teacher. She was a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star 29, and was a Brownie leader in the Girl Scouts and a den leader in the Cub Scouts. She was active at the O'Malley Senior Center.

Mrs. Raines enjoyed ceramics and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Raines; and one brother, Robert E. Hill.

Survivors include one son, Charles P. Raines Jr. of Crownsville; two daughters, Lynette J. Curtis and Marion Boschert of Crownsville; two brothers, William H. Hill Jr. of Arlington, Va., and Richard D. Hill of Crownsville; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road in Gambrills.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Baldwin Memorial United Methodist Church, 921 Generals Highway in Millersville. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Theodore Thomas

Theodore James "Ted" Thomas, 75, of Annapolis and previously of Mayo, died of heart failure Feb. 12 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Mr. Thomas was born Nov. 5, 1932, in Mayo and attended the former Wiley H. Bates High School in Annapolis.

He worked for Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. in Annapolis and the West River Yacht Club in Mayo.

Mr. Thomas served in the Army as a private 1st class.

He was a member of Greater Bible Way Church, and enjoyed cleaning his vehicles and watching Westerns..

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sarah Thomas; one son, James Theodore Thomas of Annapolis; one daughter, Rosetta Chew of Crofton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Christian wake will begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow at Christ is the Answer Deliverance Center, 445 Fourth St. in Eastport. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m.

Interment is private in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville. Arrangements are by Reese and Sons Mortuary.

Elaine Wheatley

Elaine Johnson Wheatley, 78, a resident of Grasonville since 1983, died Feb. 15 at her home.

Mrs. Wheatley was born Aug. 29, 1929, in Unity, Wis., to the late Salem and Edith Johnson. She graduated from Colby, Wis., High School in 1947 and earned a degree from the University of Chicago. She later earned a degree as an architect in interior design from the former Mount Vernon College in Washington, D.C., in 1980.

She worked as a professional fashion model in Chicago, and later became a stewardess for United Airlines in 1951 and was based in Salt Lake City, New York and Washington, D.C. She received letters from United and its passengers for her outstanding service. After her marriage in 1959, she founded Lands End Manor on the Bay, a nationally recognized bed and breakfast. She completely remodeled her antique home on the Chesapeake Bay.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Fellows Wheatley Jr.; two sons, Charles "Chip" Wheatley III of Lake Forest, Calif., and Mark Johnson Wheatley of Grasonville; one brother, Harley Johnson of Colby; and one grandson.
