Today's obituaries recognize: Patricia Ingle, John Myers, Zelma Stilwell and Frank Synowiec Sr. Patricia Ingle Patricia H. Ingle, 74, a resident of Annapolis for 41 years and previously of Lothian, died of breast cancer May 16 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a nine-month illness. Mrs. Ingle was born July 13, 1933, in Washington, D.C., to the late Henrietta and William Luby Sr. She graduated in 1951 from Frederick Sasscer High School in Upper Marlboro. She retired from Hecht's in Annapolis. She loved cooking, spending time with her family and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry R. Ingle Sr., who died in 2001; one daughter, Patricia Ann Ingle, who died in 1967; and one brother, Joseph B. Lusby. Survivors include two sons, Henry R. Ingle Jr. of Annapolis and Clarence W. Ingle of Lothian; one daughter, Norma J. Wishart of Annapolis; one brother, William Lusby Jr. of Annapolis; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Family and friends may join in the celebration of her life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. John Myers John Richard Myers, 75, a resident of Gambrills for 36 years, died May 17 in his home after a long illness. Mr. Myers was born Oct. 24, 1932, in Kittanning, Pa., and earned an associate's degree in business. He worked for the Goddard Space Flight Center for 37 years. He served in the Air Force for four years, including service during the Korean War. He was a member of Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Piney Orchard, and loved sports. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Florence Myers; one son, Gary Myers of Odenton; one daughter, Terrie Green of Odenton; two brothers, Harry R. Myers of Dubose, Pa., and Ronald J. Myers of Johnstown, Pa.; and one grandson. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road in Gambrills. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Arch and Dove Presbyterian Church, 8424 Piney Orchard Parkway in Odenton. Interment will be in Lakemont Memorial Gardens. Stilwell, 90, a resident of Annapolis since 1947, died of heart disease May 16 at the Mandrin Hospice House in Harwood. Mrs. Stilwell was born May 26, 1917, in Hoosick Falls, N.Y., to the late Charles D. and Ethelind M. Chapman. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School and earned a bachelor's degree in English from Russell Sage College. She was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church, helping to organize and prepare fundraising dinners, and was active in the Women's Society for Christian Service, where she served as president. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a member of the American Association of University Women. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, and summer vacations at the family summer camp in upstate New York. Survivors include her husband of almost 70 years, Mahlon F. Stillwell; one son, Richard M. Stilwell of Germantown; one daughter, Aletha S. Benson of Ridgecrest, Calif.; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 27 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 Rowe Blvd. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401. Frank Synowiec Sr. Frank S. Synowiec Sr., 91, a 25-year resident of Tracys Landing and previously of Hillcrest Heights, died suddenly of natural causes May 15 while traveling through Bracey, Va. Mr. Synowiec was born May 9, 1917, in Wheeling, W. Va., to Joseph and Helen Synowiec. He graduated from Central High School in Wheeling. He worked as a machinist at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C., during World War II, and later worked as a production specialist with the Defense Mapping Agency of the federal government. He was one of the first television repairmen, repairing televisions from his home. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Sorrows, and with Admiral Benson Assembly 381. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, South County Council 8251. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter. Survivors include his wife of almost 67 years, Eleanor A. Synowiec; two sons, Richard Synowiec of Detroit and Frank S. Synowiec Jr. of Edgewater; six daughters, Joanne Swann of Stuart, Fla., Patty Bricken of Fredericksburg, Va., Christy Meehan of Port Royal, Va., Mary Miller of Middletown, Eileen Daniels of Jamestown, Ky., and Karen Giaconia of Martinez, Calif.; one brother, Joseph Synowiec of Wheeling; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may join in the celebration of his life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road in Edgewater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road in West River. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Knights of Columbus, South County Council 8251, Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Owensville Road, West River, MD 20778.
