Identity stolen

Someone used another person's identity June 12 to wire $472,000 to a bank account overseas, city police said.

The victim told police Monday that someone had taken the money from a home equity account at Severn Savings Bank.

The bank told the victim that the case was being forwarded to the FBI and the U.S. Secret Service, police said.

Wire stolen

Someone stole about 100 feet of aluminum wire earlier this month from a BGE site on Old Solomons Island Road, city police said.
