Friday's obituaries recognize: Lawrence Brown Jr., Valerie Hall, Yvonne Johnson, Melvin Pough, Jane Proctor and Betty Raynor Lawrence Brown Jr. Lawrence Theodore "Duff" Brown Jr., 71, of Capitol Heights and previously of Annapolis, died July 21 in his home. Mr. Brown was born July 6, 1937, in Annapolis to the late Marion Elizabeth Turner and Lawrence Theodore "Snake" Brown Sr. He graduated from Bates High School in 1956 and attended the University of South Carolina on a football scholarship and Virginia Common Wealth...
