Annapolis AreaBlockbuster theft A Blockbuster employee was charged with stealing almost $2,000 worth of merchandise from the store over a period of two months, city police said. An employee of the store in the 100 block of Hillsmere Drive told police the employee took items off of store shelves and treated them as returns, refunding the money to his own store account. Then the man used the money in his account to purchase DVDs, soda and candy, police said. Matthew L. Beckett, 31, of Brightwater Drive, was charged Nov. 12 with theft, police said. Robbery...
