South countyGun, assault charges A Shady Side man was charged Saturday with pointing a handgun at three people in Churchton, county police said. Three people told police that at 11 a.m. in the 5600 block of Carvel Drive, a man had pointed a gun at them and threatened to shoot them. They led officers to the man's home in the 1100 block of Sailfish Court, where he was arrested.
