Drug arrest
A city man was arrested Monday after police pulled over the car he was in and allegedly found drugs in his pocket, city police said.
At about 7:30 p.m., police made a traffic stop on a Lincoln Town Car at Northwest and Calvert streets. While citing the driver, an officer noticed that a rear passenger had a clear plastic bag protruding from his pocket, police said.
A drug detection dog alerted officers to the presence of drugs in the car. Officers later removed the passenger, Curtis J. Johnson, 27, of Central Street, from the car and he tried to run, police...
