Attempted theft
Two Caroline County people were arrested Thursday evening after allegedly trying to steal makeup and several hundred dollars worth of medicine from a grocery store.
At 5:19 p.m. city police went to the Shoppers Food Warehouse on Solomons Island Road after a security officer saw two people take merchandise and put it into a pink- and orange-striped purse and try to leave without paying. The officer confronted them and they admitted they had the store's property.
In all they had $508.78 worth of merchandise including $68.97 worth of Zantac, a heartburn medicine; $155.94...
