Juvenile arrests
Two girls were cited for disrupting school activities after they were involved in a fight at Bates Middle School Monday, city police said.
Police were called to the school at 701 Chase St. at 1:20 p.m. for the report of a fight between two students. When officers arrived, school officials told them that two girls had gotten into a fistfight in the hallway and attracted a crowd of about 100 students.
The crowd made it difficult for administrators to break up the fight, police said.
