Burglary bust
Two men were arrested Tuesday in connection with early-morning burglaries at liquor stores on both sides of the Bay Bridge, police officials said.
County police were called to Bay Bridge Liquors at 1598 Whitehall Road at 2:14 a.m. for the report of a burglary. When they arrived they found the front-door window had been smashed. When the owner of the liquor store arrived, officers were able to watch the store's security video of the incident and saw two men unsuccessfully attempt to steal an ATM machine inside.
