Annapolis areaFake alert City police are advising residents that a fake Amber Alert about a missing child has gone out to some cell phone users. The alert that one cell phone user recently received said a 7-year-old St. Mary's student was abducted by a man in a truck. Police officials said they want residents to know they are not investigating any child abductions, and Maryland State Police said they currently have no active Amber Alerts.
