Armed robbery
A convenience store on the corner of Spa Road and Hilltop Lane was robbed at gunpoint just before 2 a.m. this morning, city police said.
A man wearing a black ski mask entered the Pantry One store at 1:42 a.m. and pointed a semi-automatic handgun at two employees, police said. Officers said the man reached into the cash register drawer and took around $200 before running away. No one was injured, police said.
The suspect was described as a black man wearing a dark blue long-sleeve shirt and jeans.
An investigation is continuing.
Heroin arrest
City police arrested a Broadneck Peninsula man Tuesday afternoon after officers found $1,250 worth of suspected heroin in the glove compartment of his car, city police said.
Officers said Broad Moor Drive resident Edward Pfirrmann was stopped at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday at Rowe Boulevard and Taylor Avenue when they saw he not wearing his seat belt. The officer said Edward was stuttering and his eyes were glassy.
A police drug-detection dog was called to the scene and, after positively alerting the vehicle, officers said they searched the center console of the red Toyota. Officers said they found 8.2 grams of suspected heroin, a box of sandwich baggies and an electronic scale.
Pfirrmann was arrested and charged with possession, possession with intent to distribute, possession of paraphernalia and issued a traffic citation for not wearing his seat belt, city police said.
Police also seized his Toyota.
Home burglarized
City police said $785 worth of computer equipment and plants were stolen from a Southgate Avenue resident while she was on vacation.
The victim returned home June 22 to discover her back door was unlocked. Officers said her Gateway computer was missing along with basil and chive plants from her front-yard garden.
Debit card stolen
City police said an Annapolis man's debit card was stolen Tuesday and it was used to buy several Nokia cell phones and a pornographic Web site subscription.
The thief spent $849.60 and officers currently are obtaining shipping information for the ordered items, police said.
The investigation is continuing.
Severna Park
Armed man sought
County police are looking for an armed man who approached a group of children yesterday while they were playing in front of Silas First Baptist Church.
After police arrived at the church at 91 Earleigh Heights Road at 7:40 p.m., three children told officers they were playing on the lawn when a green car pulled up. The driver then got out and asked what they were doing. He was holding a black handgun, but did not point it at the children, police said.
The children said they were playing and the man got back in the car and drove east toward Ritchie Highway.
The man was described as white in his early 20s, with acne and a blond crew cut. He was wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a forest green car, possibly a Ford, with a partial license plate number of 408 or 4BQ, police said.

WEST COUNTY
Home invasion
Two men forced a man into his Odenton home and stole several items yesterday afternoon, county police said.
The 19-year-old victim told police he was standing in front of his Greyswood Road home in the Chapelgate community at 12:45 p.m. when two men wearing ski masks approached him and forced him inside. They took some unidentified items from the home and ran off, police said.
Descriptions of the men were vague.
Attacked, robbed
A man was attacked and robbed outside of the Pier 1 Imports store in Laurel on Tuesday evening.
Police responded to the store on the 3400 block of Route 198 at 6:43 p.m. and interviewed the victim who said that while he was walking near the back of the store, he was approached by four men.
One of them struck him and they demanded money. They took his wallet and ran away toward Old Annapolis Road, police said.
The victim had minor injuries but refused to go to the hospital, said Justin Mulcahy, a county Police Department spokesman.
One suspect is black and he was wearing a black shirt with yellow stripes and brown pants. Another suspect is black, 6 feet tall, and was wearing black shirt, pants, shoes and ski mask.
The other two suspects were only described as black men in ski masks.
QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY
Mom charged
A Pennsylvania woman is facing drunken driving charges after crashing into a pole on Outlet Center Drive in Queenstown last week with her two children in the car, Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office officials said.
Deputies said Melissa Hartman, 38, hit a pole and a parked car with her silver Mazda around 1:15 p.m. Friday while her 4-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son were in the car. The sheriff's office said Hartman told deputies she had consumed a bottle of vodka.
Hartman, a resident of Waynesboro, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, reckless driving and negligent driving, according to deputies.
The sheriff's office said the children were released to their father and Hartman was released on personal recognizance.
Equipment taken
An estimated $20,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a boat at the American Global Yacht Group on Hess Road in Grasonville, Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Department officials said.
Deputies said the theft of the two Mercruiser outdrives occurred between June 20 and June 29. The incident remains under investigation.
Tools missing
Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Department officials estimate $1,195 of damage and stolen equipment occurred late last week on Main Street in Chester.
Deputies said someone broke out a rear window of a work van last Thursday or Friday and stole several tools, including a power drill, saw and GPS system.
