Pedestrian struck
A pedestrian struck by a car early yesterday morning suffered life-threatening injuries, according to the county Fire Department.
At about 12:30 a.m., the 35-year-old man was struck at Route 214 and Hillside Drive in Mayo. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, fire officials said.
