Seeing an opportunity to reach out and help the business community, county Police Chief James Teare Sr. reached out to a retired officer to enhance the security network for area companies. Teare tapped retired Cpl. Darryl Hagner in August to work full-time on the network, which connects the county Police Department with businesses and businesses with each other to fight commercial crime. "Teare tapped retired Cpl. Darryl Hagner in August to work full-time on the network" - so is he drawing a police pension in addition to the salary they are paying him? Wouldn't that have been an important question to ask?
Personally I find it hard to believe this is the only person able to do that job.
