Man beaten, robbed
Two teens robbed an 18-year-old man last night as he walked on Belle Court and Belle Drive, city police said.
Officers were called to the area at 8:19 p.m. for the reported robbery. The victim said he'd been walking in the area while talking on his cell phone when a minivan stopped next to him. A teen got out of the sliding door and nudged the victim, and then a second teen got out of the front passenger's seat and stood in front of him, police said.
One of them hit the victim in the face with a hard object, and the blow knocked the victim to the ground. Both teens continued to hit the victim until a witness ran out to aid him, police said.
The teens picked up the victim's cell phone, which he had dropped during the attack, got back in the van and drove off, police said.
The victim suffered cuts to his face and right hand and was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for treatment. The stolen phone was valued at $265.
The robbers were described as black teens. One was tall and thin and was wearing a dark plaid shirt and a knit cap, with short dreadlocks sticking out, police said. The other was of average height and build and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
They fled the scene a gold Honda Pilot.
Driver assaulted
A Riverdale man was arrested Wednesday after police said he assaulted an Annapolis Transit Authority bus driver.
Officers were called to 932 Spa Road at 1:46 p.m. for the report of a disorderly person on a bus. The bus driver, a 29-year-old woman, told police a man got on the bus and asked a question. After she answered his question, the man cursed and swore at her, then spit on her right arm and leg, police said.
The driver told the man she was going to call the police and he took off running down Spa Road toward Hilltop Lane.
Officers caught up with a man matching the driver's description inside the Pantry 1 Food Mart and asked him to step outside. But the man became irritated and began yelling, police said.
Officers arrested Marvin Anthony Davis Jr., 23, and charged him with second-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Bob-Cat taken
A Bob-Cat, trailer and hundreds of dollars worth of tools were stolen from a Lothian mobile home park last week, county police said.
A 74-year-old maintenance man and resident of Waysons Mobile Park at 151 1st St. told officers he locked a shed owned by the mobile home park with a padlock and clasp on Oct. 14. When he returned to the shed at 8:15 a.m. the next day, he discovered that the shed door had been pried open and three Stihl chain saws, two Echo hedge trimmers and an Echo backpack blower were missing.
The maintenance man walked around the property and noticed that a Bobcat zero-turn mower, toolboxes and a utility trailer also had been stolen, police said.
Police believe the suspects connected a trailer that was kept on the property to the getaway vehicle, and used the trailer to haul away the Bob-Cat mower.
The items stolen are worth an estimated $15,000.
