Tires slashed
Someone slashed tires on six vehicles parked on West Street Sunday night, city police said.
One of the victims, a 51-year-old city woman, called police at about 8:30 a.m. Monday to report the damage to her 1997 Chevy truck. The passenger's-side rear tire had been punctured with three small holes, police said. While in the area, the officer found five other vehicles with similar damage in the 100 and 200 blocks of West Street.
Money stolen
A city man told police Monday that someone stole $150 from him as he stood at West and Calvert streets trying to buy heroin.
The man flagged down an officer on patrol and said he had left a bar on West Street and was trying to buy heroin. The man he was trying to buy from took his money and then ran off toward Clay Street, police said.
The officer couldn't find the alleged dealer and drove the man home, police said.
Items stolen
Someone stole $95 worth of belongings Saturday from a homeless man as he slept on a bus stop bench, city police said.
The victim, a 69-year-old man, told police he was sleeping on the bench in the 100 block of West Street between 6 and 8 a.m. when someone stole his backpack. The backpack, worth $20, contained money, keys, sunglasses, an identification card and various prescription medications, police said.
Woman robbed
Someone robbed a woman Saturday as she walked on Madison Street, city police said.
The victim, a 48-year-old woman, flagged down an officer on patrol to report the robbery at about 7 a.m.
She told the officer she was walking when she heard a man approaching her. He said "give it up what you got" while reaching under his sweatshirt, implying he had a weapon.
The woman handed over $61 and the man turned and ran on Madison Street toward Brashears Street, police said.
Officers weren't able to find the robber, who was described as a black man in his 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white shoes, police said.
The victim was not hurt.
WEST COUNTY
Man robbed
A man was robbed in front of an Odenton hotel Sunday night, county police said.
The 35-year-old man was walking in front of the Royal Inn at 1630 Annapolis Road just before 9 when a man walked up and asked him for a cigarette. Just then, the man heard someone yell from a parked vehicle nearby. As he turned around to look, the other man pulled out a handgun and demanded his cash, police said.
The robber snatched the man's money, then got into the passenger seat of the parked vehicle the man had turned to look at. Police said the vehicle might have been a black Ford Crown Victoria.
The man described the robber as black, in his early 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a gray shirt, black baseball cap, black jeans and dark sneakers.
Pizza man robbed
A pizza man was robbed Sunday while delivering food in Gambrills, county police said.
The driver was making a delivery in the 2400 block of Cheyenne Drive about 11 p.m. when a man walked up and asked if he had any change. A second man walked up while the two men were talking and grabbed him from behind. Both men then assaulted the delivery man, took his cash and ran away, police said.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
His attackers are both described as black, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build. One was wearing a dark hooded jacket. The second man was wearing a white and black hooded jacket.

You forgot about the ride home!
And about the homeless man, that is just plain wrong. Talk about kicking someone when they are down.

Some homeless do have a car, and that's what they live in. They work, they make enough to eat and pay child support. But, nothing left for a roof over their head. Yes, sometimes due to drug and alcohol habits.
