6 injured in early-morning crashes

Three early-morning crashes in the county sent six people to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore Friday, county police and fire officials said.

The crashes took place within two hours during morning rush hour.

At just after 8 a.m., the driver of a blue Ford Escort lost control of the vehicle while traveling on the ramp from Nursery Road to Interstate 695 in Linthicum, county police said.

The Ford crossed the roadway, went down a gully and struck a fence, according to preliminary police reports. A 25-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the shock trauma center, said Lt. Keith...
