ANNAPOLIS AREA$1,000 takenSomeone broke into a home on Spa Drive Friday night and stole $1,000 in cash, city police said. At about 8:30 p.m., police responded to a call for a suspicious subject near the residence. Once they arrived, they heard the house's security alarm sounding. Police said the side door had been forced open, and inside the cash had been taken from a drawer in a bedroom nightstand. The homeowner was not there at the time of the break-in.
