At about noon Monday, a man and a woman clipped the screens off the windows of Morgan's house on Gordon Lane and crawled inside. Recovering at home from a tonsillectomy, Morgan was eating ice cream and watching television.

Catch Up with Technology - 2009-12-17 13:27:32

Good on this girl. Now we need to get our 911 system to catch up with technology and start accepting 911 text messages. What would have happened if the parents didn't answer their phones and the girl couldn't talk as not to alert the burglars of her location?

Good for you Morgan. I know it had to be frightening for you but you displayed good sense and maturity. So glad you weren't hurt and didn't let those grinche's steal Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

To have such composure and poise under such pressure! And her use of deductive reasoning to work her way through to safety. Fantastic.
One thing about the article. Mom was concerned about identifying herself. Perhaps giving the husband's name was not in the mother's best interest?
