Chimney fire
A chimney fire broke out early this morning on Duke of Gloucester Street, city Fire Department officials said.
Firefighters were called to 120 Duke of Gloucester St. at 12:27 a.m. for the report of sparks coming from the chimney, said Capt. Kelly Martin, a Fire Department spokeswoman. It took about an hour to get the fire under control.
A damage estimate was not available this morning.
Handgun stolen
Someone stole a Beretta handgun Tuesday from a home on Silopanna Road, city police said.
