Cape fire displaces family

A fire ripped through a home near Cape St. Claire Thursday afternoon, causing $50,000 in damage and displacing three people, county Fire Department officials said.

Paul W. Gillespie - The Capital A fire caused $50,000 in damage to this home at 576 Foxpaw Trail off Bay Head Road on Thursday. Lt. Steve Thompson, a county Fire Department spokesman, said the fire was caused by a malfunctioning dishwasher.
