Patrick Swann, 19, of Glen Burnie, pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree assault in exchange for a suspended sentence. He admitted in county Circuit Court in Annapolis that he put a firecracker inside a cigarette last April and gave it to a female friend to smoke.
