Man hit, robbed
A 66-year-old Boxwood Court resident told police he was robbed on his way home from the grocery store on Sunday, police said.
The victim, who did not report the incident until Monday evening, said he was riding a bicycle home from Shopper's Food Warehouse around 4:30 p.m. Sunday when two men came up from behind and struck him with a large piece of wood, knocking him off the bike.
The two stole the victim's bike, $150 in cash and his groceries.
The victim did not report the crime until Monday, when he started to feel pain from the blow. The city Fire Department was called and took him to Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was released from the hospital Tuesday.
WEST COUNTY
Jail stabbing
At least six men were stabbed in an assault at the Maryland Pre-Release facility in Jessup last night.
Around 9:27 p.m. Anne Arundel emergency crews rushed to the facility at 7931 Brockbridge Road in Jessup for a report of multiple stab wounds.
On the scene there were three patients who suffered serious but not life threatening wounds. All were taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Three other patients were taken by ambulance to area hospitals, Division Chief Michael Cox said. It was unclear whether more patients would be involved in the evolving situation around 10:30 p.m. last night.
Garage robbery
A man was robbed at gunpoint inside his garage in Laurel Wednesday morning, county police said.
The 62-year-old man was working in his garage in the 8100 block of Mississippi Road around 10 a.m. when he heard someone walking up.
He turned around and was confronted by a man pointing a handgun at him. The intruder demanded cash from the victim, who turned it over.
After taking the money, the robber ran a few doors to a waiting tan, four-door sedan. Police said he jumped into the rear passenger side of the car, and the vehicle sped out of the neighborhood.
The robber is black, between 18 to 25 years-old, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, with short dreadlocks.
Tires, rims stolen
All four tires and the rims were stolen from a vehicle parked in Laurel overnight Monday, county police said.
A 52-year-old Laurel man parked her 2006 Cadillac four-door under a street light next to a community pool at 8187 Scenic Meadow Drive around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
When he returned to the car about four hours later, he noticed the tires and rims had been taken off his vehicle and the Cadillac was on cinder blocks.
The tires and rims are valued at $2,600.
PASADENA
Woman, 73, injured
An elderly woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Pasadena Thursday afternoon, county Fire Department officials said.
The crash took place just before 1:30 p.m. at Mountain Road and Postal Court.
The 73-year-old woman suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
No other injuries were reported.

Purse snatched
An employee's purse was stolen from behind the front counter of a Pasadena bowling alley on Sunday, county police said.
The 53-year-old employee of AMF Southdale Lanes at 8056 Jumpers Hole Road put her brown leather purse behind the counter around 4:05 p.m. When she looked behind the counter two hours later, it was gone.
The purse contained a brown wallet with the woman's driver's license, credit cards, $50 in cash, eyeglasses, keys and prescription and over-the-counter medications.
NORTH COUNTY
Motorcyclist hurt
A motorcyclist was injured when he collided with a vehicle in Glen Burnie Thursday afternoon, county Fire Department officials said.
The 23-year-old man was driving on Route 100 eastbound at Oakwood Road when he crashed into the back of a vehicle, said Division Chief Michael Cox, a county Fire Department spokesman.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
