Funeral - 2010-08-31 10:48:29

Today is the funeral. This is a real tragedy. I'm sure she was a very nice lady as her cousin says. Details are not easily available about the easy lover but it really makes one wonder.

Ms. Rawlyk -- thanks for explaining - 2010-08-29 18:39:32

It was just a little confusing, but I should remember you can only work with what the police has released or willing to release in an active investigation. Thanks for informing the public with all the information available.

I hope the boy will be OK. It's a terrible thing to go through.

R.I.P. Lynn in our hearts forever - 2010-08-29 14:31:08

Lynn was my cousin, and a beautiful person inside and out. The worst part of this story is that Carl was released from prison 6 months ago for murdering another woman by strangulation 20 yrs ago! That leaves a lot to say about our justice system. R.I.P Lynn you will never be forgotten.

Child Abuse - 2010-08-29 13:36:44

Hi RF. Your guess is as good as mine. I asked the AACPD PIO to run any prior calls at the residence to see if there had been any problems at the home before. He told me there were two calls to the home on Aug. 26 - one for a DOA and one for child abuse (with no timeline provided). I called him back immediately and inquired about the child abuse call.
The PIO called detectives, got back in touch with me and said they were not commenting on the child abuse call at this point -as it is part of the investigation. But he would say it was "related."
I understand it poses more questions than answers, and wish I could have gotten more out of police..but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I will follow this story closely and report news as it comes.
Thanks for reading.

What? - 2010-08-29 02:30:48

What's this with a casual mention of the boy being assaulted the morning of the killing never to mentioned again in the article? Or is that the "child abuse" call? Who assaulted him?

If he ran screaming out of the house saying that someone killed his mother, are you saying that it isn't the same event (both he and his mother weren't assaulted in the same attack)? Who "child-abused" him?

Weird article.
