Two men were arrested and charged with drug offenses after police stopped a Cadillac they were riding in late Thursday night because its tag lights weren't working, city police said.

Rafael Amon Edwards, 25, of 24 Henley Court, Baltimore, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of a handgun in a vehicle, police said.

Gilbert Monger, 33, of 205 Westport Bay, Glen Burnie, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Police spotted the Cadillac in the area of West Washington and West streets and it came to stop on Calvert Street before Clay Street. The incident occurred shortly before midnight.

During a search of Edwards, police said they found suspected powder cocaine. A 9 mm Luger was discovered in the trunk of the vehicle in a white glove that was placed inside a CD case, police also said.

When Monger was searched at the station, police said they discovered a large clear plastic bag containing 28.2 grams of suspected marijuana with a street value of $282.

Arundel / Old Mill FB - 2010-09-07 10:09:33

I wonder where the information is about the drug busts at the FB game on Friday night. According to my kids that were there, there was a large policie presence and they said they saw at least two people have Tazers used on them. It would be nice to hear the official report.

They did the same thing on that ATV story a couple days ago. Said it happened in Waugh Chapel when it was southern Odenton, miles away from WC.
