Sen. E.J. Pipkin, R-Stevensville, has introduced a bill that would repeal the state's authority to build and finance a northern crossing of the bay between Millers Island in Baltimore County and Kent County.
Mr. Pipkin said Kent County could not handle the additional traffic that would come with such a project and residents' quality of life would be harmed. The bill had its first reading in the Senate Finance Committee this week.
"It's time to take this proposal off the books," Mr. Pipkin said....
