Leopold cracking down on illegal buildersPublished 02/20/07
County Executive John R. Leopold has launched the third prong in his attempt to regulate what he called building "scofflaws." He said a bill to be presented to the County Council tonight seeks a fine of $500 per day for people living in homes built without proper county permits. Mr. Leopold said his efforts should help to repair the county's reputation following the Little Dobbins Island controversy.
