Anybody remember the gay marriage debate? In Maryland, advocates on both sides of the question packed hearing rooms in Annapolis last year to tell state lawmakers what they should do about a proposed constitutional amendment on gay marriage as the state's highest court mulled whether it should be allowed. This year, the situation is the same - the court still hasn't ruled, and amendments have been proposed - but the landscape is vastly different.
