Almost 150 state jobs on the chopping block

Gov. Martin O'Malley this morning proposed $280 million in cuts to begin staving off Maryland's money mess, including chopping 147 state government positions.
The closely guarded numbers were revealed in a 10:30 a.m. news conference as the administration looks toward a potential $1.5 billion deficit next year. The cuts will be voted on at tomorrow's Board of Public Works meeting.
