In December, Gov. Martin O'Malley appointed Judge Wachs, a former district court judge, to fill the vacancy left by retiring Judge Joseph P. Manck.
Judge Wachs was the only candidate on the ballot for the judgeship, and received 100 percent of the about 42,000 votes cast in the race.
