Three county politicians have recently been picked to attend their respective party's national conventions later this year.
Councilman Jamie Benoit is a delegate pledged to vote for presidential candidate U.S. Senator Barack Obama during the Democratic National Convention in Denver. County Executive John R. Leopold and Del. Tony McConkey will head to the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis, where they will cast votes for their parties' presumptive nominee, U.S. Sen. John McCain.
