Councilmen had introduced six amendments to the County Charter - the local-government equivalent of changing the U.S. Constitution - in an effort to expand the council's role in, or control over, certain government processes.
County Executive John R. Leopold and his staff opposed the changes and argued many "blur the separation of powers" necessary for good government.
The council unanimously shelved four amendments until June 16...

I said it before and will say it again this would be a disaster for the overall out look for the people of this county. We have a trust worthy council now but that does not mean future members of the council can not be horse fed lobby type money into their pockets. You can not change the rules after a baseball game because they don't go your way everytime.-
