As debate shifted from the proposal's merits to the wisdom of raising any fee during an economic downturn, the council put off a decision until Oct. 21 to see if a compromise could be salvaged.
Three councilmen have lined up against upping the fees.

It is interesting home builders feel it is their right to pass on the costs of their business to the general public. This socialist subsidy is not provided to other hardworking businesses. Currently the impact fees cover less than 20% of costs to County and citizens.
