bad deal - November 2, 2008
and how much to social services for the increased need that will result? to our police force for the increased demand and OT pay? to pay for work on our roads due the increased traffic and wear and tear and OT pay for those workers? to help owners whose home values plummet as a result? to our emergency services and personnel and hospitals for increased need with a decrease in people's abilities to pay? to local businesses who lose income because people no longer have money to spend? And lets not forget the added traffic and accidents and roadwork clogging our already bad commutes. Our roads can't handle the traffic we have! We already have an influx of new jobs, traffic and other issues coming with the BRAC realignment, we don't need to add this into the mix. It won't help. Oh, and forget going back on this easily as it changes our constitution. Please people, research this thoroughly, and realize what a bad deal this is for us! Vote No to ruining our state and communities with slots! The slot companies and others aren't putting millions of dollars into telling you this is good for you out of the kindness of their hearts.
