Political Notes: Franchot's chief of staff going to work for Van HollenPublished 12/18/08
Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot's chief of staff has taken a new job on Capitol Hill, politicians said. David Weaver has agreed to be chief of staff for Rep. Chris Van Hollen, who recently ascended to one of the top leadership posts in the House of Representatives. Mr. Van Hollen, D-Montgomery County, will serve as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's "assistant to the speaker" in addition to his duties as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
