EDITOR'S NOTE: Political Notes is a periodic compilation of announcements Gov. Martin O'Malley has been chosen vice chairman of the Democratic Governors Association. Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer, who chairs the association, made the announcement Tuesday. The group supports Democratic candidates who run for governor. In 2008, the association raised $23 million.
