The legislation would raise county alcohol license fees by an average of 20 percent, resulting in increases that range from $10 to $600.
The county Board of License Commissioners is advocating for the bill because the fees haven't been raised in 30 years and the board wants to make some personnel changes, such as turning a part-time inspector into a deputy chief inspector and raising the salary of the board's attorney.
