Businesses that violate liquor laws will face steeper penalties and the local tourism bureau will be on track for a funding boost under new state laws set to take effect tomorrow. Both laws were the product of contentious local debate during the General Assembly session, with particularly strong disagreements over whether to increase the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau's share of the hotel tax. So let me get this straight, I opt out of the union, yet they can still collect some form of "dues" from me? What the heck is that.

Fees for this, fees for that...This from a bunch of morons who can't balance a check book. When they start passing laws that allow a Union that you didn't join, wouldn't join and want nothing to do with, to help themselves to one penny of your paycheck, it's definately time for them to go!
