Hogan said he would back former Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. if he decides to run. However, Hogan said he's going to test the waters for support in the event that Ehrlich decides against a rematch with Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley in 2010.
Hogan said he would launch a "Hogan for Maryland" committee to begin gauging support. Hogan served as Maryland's secretary of appointments in Ehrlich's cabinet. He also ran against U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer in 1992, picking up about 44 percent of the vote.

Johnathan. You are probably right. We went through that with Paris Glendening, too. He could not run PG County, if his life depended on it, and the citizens went and voted him for Governor and we all know what he got accomplished for Md. ZILCH. Just proves that the democrats could put up just about anybody and get them voted in this state.

Hate to burst your bubble, but O'Malley couldn't run Baltimore City and now look where he's at. If this is indicative of anything, Dixon might be next in line.

Can I add Mayor Dixon to the list of anybody but O'Malley and Ehrlich? She has said she wants to run for Governor, and since she can't run Baltimore City, I guess she feels she has the ability to run Maryland.
