Political Notes: Kratovil swamps Harris in fundraisingPublished 10/22/09
U.S. Rep. Frank Kratovil is pulling dramatically ahead of his likely challenger, Sen. Andrew P. Harris, in the money race for a rematch in the 2010 election. Kratovil, the first-term 1st District congressman, a Democrat, has collected $862,365 in the three months that ended Sept. 30. Harris, who is likely to engage Kratovil in a rematch, has raised $454,245, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission. Kratovil more than doubles Harris in cash on hand, with $691,205. Harris, a Republican from Baltimore County, has $313,054.
