More than $3.2 million in state and federal funding linked to base realignment at Fort George G. Meade has begun to trickle in, including money for crucial road upgrades around the sprawling west county post. The state Tuesday awarded Anne Arundel Community College $80,234 to develop a work force training program for jobs headed to Fort Meade under the federal military Base Realignment and Closure process, or BRAC. The announcement comes on the heels of an additional $350,000 earmarked for the college for BRAC projects.
