Prep notebook: Baseball group pushing tickets

Each year, the organization Friends of Joe Cannon Stadium holds a banquet to honor local high school baseball players and present three of them with substantial scholarships.

The group that was formed as a means of maintaining the outstanding baseball facility in Harmans has evolved into one that promotes and supports academic and athletic excellence for scholastic baseball players in Anne Arundel County.
