Centrowitz, Severna Park wear crowns

HEREFORD - The Matt Centrowitz era officially ended on a high note yesterday at the Class 4A-3A state cross-country meet. But just as one of the county's most prolific athletes exited the prep stage, it appears a team dynasty was born.

The Severna Park girls team won its second consecutive 3A team title with a score of 80 points. Junior Liya Kasimova led the Falcons and ran a time of 20 minutes, 19 seconds, good enough for fifth place overall.
