FORESTVILLE - On Broadneck's first play from scrimmage in yesterday's Class 4A state semifinal, Sam Hudson fumbled away a pitch from Kyle Colleran and Suitland recovered the ball on the Bruins' 31-yard line. It was an ominous sign, as two more first-half fumbles helped put the Bruins in a hole they just couldn't climb out of despite a furious late rally as they fell 28-26.
"We had a great finish at the end, but we had way too many turnovers there against a good team," Bruins coach Jeff Herrick said. "You can't win games at this level when you have that."
