With the final match in yesterday's tri-meet between Annapolis, Arundel and Southern hanging in the balance, Arundel wrestling coach Bill Royer took his 140-pounder Jordan Hernandez into the hallway just outside of the gym for a pep talk.
"I told him it was his chance to win it, to become a star," Royer said. "He's been the hardest worker in the wrestling room for us, and if our kids can't follow his lead, they can't follow anybody."
Hernandez promptly affirmed Royer's faith, breaking a 29-29 tie with a 12-7 win over Annapolis' Brian Gehrdes that gave the No. 3 Wildcats a 32-29...
