Broadneck High senior Matt Centrowitz ran astounding 4:10.85 to finish second in the Boys Junior Mile at the prestigious Boston Indoor Games yesterday. The reigning state cross country and 3200-meter outdoor track champion, placed runner-up behind Duncan Phillips of College Station, Texas, who ran a 4:09.20. ST. MARY'S ICE HOCKEY: John Cornwell made 32 saves in the Saints' 4-3 setback to Loyola.
